unveiled the distribution chart for its Android devices that helps
users and mobile app development companies find useful insights about
the most loved Android products of all time. Here’s a look at what
Google came up with:
As
seen, the data is collected shows the statistics of the last week of
September to the first week of October in 2017. In October, Android
Oreo covered 0.5% cap in Android terrain but was escalated to 0.7% in
December.
According
to experts, the improvements in the cap was ignited due to Google’s
launch of Pixel handsets and previously popular Nexus ones.
Marshmallow 6.0 is still the most used Android operating system in
the world.
A
number of ups and downs are here to check out. For instance, Android
Lollipop stepped down from 26.3% to 25.1%. While the KitKat saw a
0.6% in its cap and slid down to 12.8% from 13.4%. Moreover, the
comparatively older versions such as Jelly Bean and Gingerbread are
still in use and secures a 5.6% and 0.4% caps respectively.
According
to a few Android app development services, the uses of new OS will
increase over time as new devices are coming in cheap and are loaded
with latest Android versions. Oreo and Nougat are now the OS that is
sure to stay for some time for sure.
